Ah, The Weekend At Last

Big Football Day tomorrow and LSU is in town along with ESPN College Game Day on the Auburn Campus. Music at Eighth & Rail on Friday Night is Tim Brantley.  Should be a good show and packed out night.  But all the action in town on Saturday will be on campus for sure.

Over at the High School, the OHS Drama kids have their production on Saturday & Sunday afternoon at 3PM, so check that out. There are shows next week too. The Bulldogs are on the road to Enterprise, Alabama tonight, so wish them well and safe travels.

And it’s a Wine Tasting at Opelika’s Brass Brassiere tonight. They do two a month on the first & third Friday.  You’ll find some very special wines to taste and purchase if you’d like.  You should ask about their Wine Club and save even more bucks with the tastings thru the year. Tell them I sent you. No, you won’t be a special deal, but I’d like them to know I’ve discussed the tastings here.

And if you notice some folks with a strange tone in their voice today, it is International Talk Like a Pirate Day.  More eye patches i suspect as well.  The real talkers will probably be at the local bars tonight. (Photo Credit: Mark White)
