Laura Lea Saves The Day & A Life!

Laura Lee Day, Outback Steakhouse and Lifesaver!Bear with me, as I explain that our Hero of this story is Laura Lea Day is a server at Outback Steakhouse.  Laura Lea (down here in the south, the first and middle name are really the same) recently graduated from Nursing school and works at Outback, or has for her years in school.  As I remember, and I do go to Outback a lot, she’s there all the time.  So on Sunday Night, a gentleman at Table 41 (us regulars know where that is) got a piece of his steak caught in his throat. His wife tried to help, but then the bartender noticed what was going on, and called Laura Lea.  She ran over and did the Heimlick Maneuver to successfully clear his airway.  She saved his life. He went to the hospital to check on his further discomfort, but the fact is, that it’s funny just who you find serving tables in Opelika.   These kids (forgive me the old man) are learning lots, and this case, Laura Lea saved a life on Sunday Night. I suspect, you’re only going to find this story here today.  So if you make it by Outback Steakhouse this week, tip your server a little extra, because there are some special folks bringing food to your table.
